Easter Sunday

I know I said that this was Easter Sunday, but fooled ya!  It was actually weeks ago, but seeing as I missed the opportunity of posting a photo of my Easter outfit, due to it raining as soon as we left the church, I thought I would post this one instead.  It is the same coat, and actually... the same weather!

This is my charity shop find: the label reads JoJo Maman Bebe.  I have heard of the label, maybe it means it's a maternity coat.  Am I bothered?  Am I, heck!  I had to cut off the sleeves and re-hem them, but I'm still really pleased with the results.  I was happy that the raspberry leather gloves I got last year are a good match too.

It would have been nicer to have this photo in front of the wonderful daffodils in the churchyard, but they are more or less done for the year.

Gorgeous Husband was up the tower after taking this photo to ring the bells.  Beautiful sound!

I looove that coat - you've done a great job of altering. And the raspberry gloves are perfect with it. Good to see you again!

Bell-ringing reminds me of Midsomer Murders!

It's a vivid color and I actually like garments with a fuller cut! It's so cool that your husband is physically ringing the bells. So many in the US are now controlled by computer.

A beautiful pairing of colors in celebration of spring. Vibrant and soothing at the same time. Of course the gloves are spectacular! And you don't need the daffodils - your background is perfect the way it is!

Many thanks everyone for your comments. Yes, Melanie, surprisingly there are many sights and sounds in England that really ARE straight out of Midsommer Murders. (Minus the murders, of course!) Lovely, historic, pastoral, it's all that and more where we live.

Will do a separate blog on the bells, as Gorgeous Husband will want to put in his knowledge about them.

Much love,
Rosemary

The colors are so pretty on you! The setting is also lovely. I never look at labels and will occasionally thrift maternity wear as well. Works for me too.
